Looking to contribute to a worthwhile cause? Are you excited about learning alternative energy and building techniques? Would you like to educate yourself in the area of sustainable, inexpensive, green practices? S.E.A.D.S. could be the place you’re looking for.
This summer we will be working on the common meeting facility on the S.E.A.D.S. property in attempt to bring it back to the seminar center for which it was intended. You will be immersed in reconstructing a structure that was built by non-builders. You’ll have up close and personal experience learning recommended improved building techniques. Solar power, carpentry, alternative plumbing, and hydroponic gardening will be the basis for your education. I understand that there is a SEADS group process and I will be living in a community with community rules. I understand that I will be camping and responsible for my own meals. I understand the registration fee is $100. and will go to buy materials necessary in the SEADS resonctruction process. I understand that this is an education, not a vacation, and that I will be expected to participate in all activities that are prepared for it.
